Thelemic belief teaches that in 1904, with the reception of the Book of the Law, the Aeon of Osiris (the dying god) was supplanted by the Aeon of Horus, the Crowned and Conquering Child, sometimes considered a God of War. Within a lifetime, humanity experienced two world wars and was threatened with nuclear annihilation.  In 1974 Nema received Liber Pennae Praenumbra the text which initiated the Aeon of Maat (goddess of truth, justices and harmony) which thereafter is believed to operate concurrently with, and balancing, the Aeon of Horus. Nema developed a system of Thelemic practice entitled Maat Magic. Her work was highly regarded by Kenneth Grant and she was, for awhile, a member of the Typhonian O.T.O. She also worked with the Bate Cabal - publisher of the Cincinnati Journal of Ceremonial Magic, the Church of Pantheist Wicca, the Horus Maat Lodge and was an Adi Nath Tantra initiate.A greatly respected, wise and influential figure in the field of Thelema and occultism, she passed through her Great Feast in January 2018.
